Booking a hotel in Theatreland London can be expensive. This district is located in the ever popular West End of London and is in high demand throughout the year.
Theatreland is an area in the east of the West End between Piccadilly and Covent Garden, an area of approximately one square mile. Tube stations in this area include Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross and Covent Garden. However it's only a short stroll or 5 minute taxi ride from most hotels in the West End. Theatreland can also be easily accessed from South Kensington via the tube system and will only take 10 minutes to the heart of Covent Garden.
Theatreland hotels are mainly 4 star and are located in an area famed for its cosmopolitan good quality restaurants around the Piazza. The area also has a great range of speciality retail outlets. The market at Covent Garden is well worth a visit and at the weekends you will find street performers to entertain not only kids but adults too!
Tickets for the theatres can be bought in advance but if you are prepared to take a gamble then go to the Half Price Ticket Booth in Leicester Square any afternoon which is where excess tickets are sold at discounted prices.
