London Hotels in the West End

The West End of London is where you will find the heaviest concentration of theatres, restaurants, hotels, shops and attractions. It covers an area north of the River Thames from Mayfair in the west across to Covent Garden in the east.

Major world renowned landmarks and attractions include Oxford Street, Soho, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, theatreland and Regents Street.

For the tourist, staying in a West End hotel means less costly travel but incurs the noise of a 24 hours a day area and high hotel room costs. The highest priced hotels are in the west around Mayfair whilst the area of Bloomsbury and Kings Cross offers cheaper accommodation with many three star tourist class hotels and also bed and breakfasts.

Covent Garden is also an expensive area being mostly 4 star hotels but is for sure one of the best areas to stay if you like good dining and good theatres.

If you are requiring cheaper accommodation or just a quieter location which is still central then consider South Kensington or Bayswater.
